APCs (Article Processing Charges) & Fast Track
The Indonesian Journal of Islamization Studies (INJAS) is committed to the full Open Access model, ensuring that all published articles are immediately and permanently accessible to the global public without subscription fees or paywalls. To cover the operational costs associated with manuscript management, typesetting, long-term digital preservation, web hosting, and editorial coordination, INJAS applies a transparent Article Processing Charge (APC) upon final acceptance of a manuscript. No submission or reading fees are charged to authors at the time of initial manuscript submission, ensuring that financial requirements do not impede the submission and evaluation process.
APC: The standard Article Processing Charge for accepted regular submissions is set at IDR 2,000,000 for Indonesian primary authors and USD 200 for international authors, while special issue publications stemming from peer-reviewed symposia or academic conferences are charged at USD 300 per accepted paper. To uphold equitable publishing principles and ensure that financial constraints do not hinder scholarly dissemination, INJAS offers partial or full APC waivers (up to 100%) for authors from low-income nations, unfunded researchers, invited authors, active editorial board members, and designated peer reviewers. All waiver requests must be formally submitted during the initial manuscript submission process and are evaluated independently by the editorial team based on socioeconomic factors and funding availability.
Fast Track: INJAS offers an expedited Fast Track review and editorial process for eligible, highly urgent research contributions to accelerate scientific dissemination without compromising peer-review rigor. Acceptance into the Fast Track workflow requires initial editorial screening based on topic novelty, potential scholarly impact, and methodological soundness. While Fast Track processing prioritizes administrative handling, reviewer assignment, and production typesetting, editorial acceptance remains strictly dependent on favorable, independent peer-review evaluations, and opting for expedited handling guarantees no alteration to academic quality standards or automatic acceptance.
Author Services: To assist authors in achieving international publication standards, INJAS provides optional Author Services, including professional English/Arabic language proofreading, structural feedback, reference verification, and graphical abstract enhancement. These optional services are completely separated from editorial decision-making and are provided on a voluntary basis for authors seeking manuscript refinement prior to or following peer review. All service fees associated with these optional enhancements are calculated transparently based on the specific services requested, ensuring full accountability while supporting the scholarly quality and readability of accepted works.
